CloudEndure Live Migration technology features were explained to Microsoft partners and employees as part of Migration to Azure Best Practices session.
Workload migration to Azure will bring organizations greater data security and tremendous cost savings if they choose the right solution partners to assess, automate, and optimize their IT environment.
This was a key takeaway message from the Azure Migration Best Practices session at Microsoft Inspire 2018. The session was hosted by Eduardo Kassner, CTO of Microsoft Corporation’s One Commercial Partner (OCP) Group. Kassner discussed current migration trends, including a move towards data and application migration as part of business decision-making. He was joined on stage by Gonen Stein, CloudEndure’s VP of Business Development, who shared CloudEndure Live Migration features, and Khushboo Shah, the Founder and CEO of Cloudamize, a technology partner helping customers plan and assess new migration projects.
Stein explained how CloudEndure Live Migration technology automates orchestration and machine conversion into Azure format, leaving users with an Azure-native machine that comes up within minutes. “What makes our solution unique and the reason our partners like using our product is that we make it really easy for them. We support any source infrastructure, any operating system supported by Azure, any database, and any application,” stated Stein. This flexibility is possible as a result of CloudEndure’s proprietary replication engine, which performs real-time, block-level replication from the operating system without performance impact. CloudEndure Live Migration reduces labor and shortens cutover windows to mere minutes.
CloudEndure Tier 1 and Tier 2 Disaster Recovery (available as SaaS subscriptions on Azure Marketplace) and CloudEndure Continuous Backup solutions are also powered by this real-time application-agnostic replication technology.

Companies deploy CloudEndure Live Migration once they have reached the implementation stage of their migration roadmap, to migrate their workloads to Azure without downtime. Shah explained how Cloudamize technology prepares companies for a successful migration process, using high-precision analytics to assess migration readiness and application dependencies.
Kassner emphasized the importance of partners such as CloudEndure and Cloudamize in aiding IT professionals in developing their expertise when their organization migrates to the public cloud. He further explained how businesses’ hybrid environments will benefit from the security and cost advantages offered by Azure as a result of becoming well-versed in public cloud capabilities: “In order for you to do hybrid well, you need to do the public cloud well first. It’s not the other way around.”
Microsoft Inspire brings together nearly 20,000 Microsoft Partner Community members, industry experts, and Microsoft employees. The four-day event in Las Vegas this month offered important collaboration opportunities to accelerate the digital transformation and success of Microsoft partners.
