CloudEndure selected as one of nine leading tech companies in Israel to be featured in the European IT Press Tour 2017. Journalists applaud joint CloudEndure/Google Cloud Migration Service.
A group of 12 well-known European tech journalists visited CloudEndure’s offices in Tel Aviv recently as part of the 24th edition of the IT Press Tour 2017. We were chosen as one of nine companies these journalists would meet with in their effort to stay up-to-date on the latest tech innovations in Israel, and share these cutting-edge technologies with the European market.
Following the visit, CloudEndure was featured in a wide array of European newspapers and sites, including major publications in the tech industry, in languages ranging from English and Spanish to French, Dutch, and Swedish.
In addition to praising CloudEndure’s seamless replication technology for cloud migration and disaster recovery, many of the articles highlighted the fact that Google uses CloudEndure software to import VMs into Google Cloud Platform, referring to the joint CloudEndure/Google Cloud Migration Service.
Some of the recently published articles include:

- Is CloudEndure Becoming Google’s Favored Child? [Dutch]

This is the second time in two years that The IT Press Tour has come to Israel. The CloudEndure team first met Philippe Nicolas, head of the IT Press Tour, at VMworld 2017. Nicolas immediately took great interest in our Disaster Recovery and Live Migration solutions, and was keen to bring European journalists to interview our founders.
The journalists were most impressed by our innovative improvements to the way data gets replicated to the public cloud. In particular, they were interested in how we solved replication challenges by building an orchestration engine to quickly and efficiently provision machines in the cloud.
Chris Mellor, a journalist from The Register, a prominent British tech news site, wrote: “CloudEndure has hundreds of customers in the US. Google uses its software to import VMs into the Google Cloud Platform. So why did CloudEndure bother to talk to a bunch of European hacks in Tel Aviv? It has developed its business with a typical Israeli tech biz mindset – Israel R&D, marketing and sales first, then focus on the US. So now it wants to crack Europe.”
The IT Press Tour is a great way for international tech journalists to keep their finger on the pulse of the most exciting, most disruptive tech developments in the Startup Nation. They come away with first-hand, in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and startups, which they can then share with their readers across Europe.
The eight Israeli companies that were visited along with CloudEndure were Aqua Security, Axonius, Coralogix, Elastifile, Illusive Networks, Reduxio, StorONE and Webhose.IO. The chosen industries for this tour were Security, Big Data, IoT, and Cloud and Storage.
